I want to buy a new processor for my home computer I need some ideas on what to get, I don't really know much about the Intel Xenon processor and it's performance but if anyone has any suggestions let me know. I also need to know if my motherboard is compatible with the processor I am getting. I currently have an Intel 500mhz Pentium II processor. I have looked in the Device Manager for specs but it just tells that I have one and it is working. So any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.
 
First, it's a Xeon, not Xenon processor. It won't work with your motherboard.

However you should check put the motherboard name and model you have (maybe with Sisoft Sandra, or WCPUid) and post it here. Then, maybe you would be able to use some of the Celerons or PIII's which are newer.
