i can't speak to the jetway, but you'll find many a review re: ecs boards that say they are crap. i tried one once and it was the worst and most expensive experience i had (the ecs4a or whatever it was called..probably the most infamous budget board of all time). it was responsible for me frying 2 cpus, a power supply and did the same thing to a buddies system. (he recommended the board for a second computer i was building for the family) the problem i recall was very unstable voltage stuff on the board. as i read the other day "a big motherboard manufacturer who use the cheapest components they can find". i don't know anyone who's had a jetway. you'll find many people who had biostar boards years ago and the consensus seems to be they faded away for whatever reason in spite of making good motherboards and now they are back in force. i have just ordered the board you are referring to based on many a good review. the board seems as good as anything out there and they have been responsive to requests for bios improvements from reviewers re: overclocking ability and stability..what they don't have are good websites..the websites are pretty lean on support. thankfully, there are a ton of people at the link below who can offer all kinds of help with this board:

they also have all kinds of modded bioses to play with as well!

I have no experience with jetway so cant add anything there.

A lot of people here will tell you that ECS is bad, I have one ECS board that has been cooking along fine for a few years now, but I dont overclock. I think most of their bad rep came from the days several years ago with the rash of bad caps and they got on the bad end of it. They are definitely known as a budget board company though.

I just ordered that biostar board yesterday. Heard many good things and reviews about it. Also heard good about that gigabyte board.

You say you are thinking of a 6400 or 6600. I went with 6600, but dont overclock. I think you should make your decision between the E4300 and E6600 instead. Also dont know if you noticed, but newegg has a combo deal on the biostar board and the processors - save an extra $5 - not much but if you are getting them, why not

I've never heard of Jetway until now. ECS is crap. I guess that leaves you with Biostar :)

Oh how I love those "ECS is crap" spinners, particularly if they recommend Biostar in the same breath. You realize where Biostar have their boards built? Or at least how strikingly similar to ECS designs many of the Biostar boards are?

ECS hasn't sustained 2nd place in this industry for a decade by building crap. Think about that for a minute.

What exactly is the relationship between Biostar and ECS, if there is one. I'm curious.

2nd place to what BOTTOM????
Certainly not Asus, MSI, Abit, Gigabyte, and Intel. Or did I miss something like the last 15 years?
Mann, Dude! Stop mixing your meds with alcohol.

The Cons: of the three boards listed are as follows: They are the cheapest motherboard building outfits in the world.

The Pros: Well it sure in the hell isn't the price now is it?

VL, I'd imagine the ECS group builds boards for Biostar, just as they have (and maybe still do) for Abit, Apple, and Shuttle, and perhaps others too. Did I mention they own Supermicro?

AD, they're second from the top, and Peter doesn't drink. Top tier is Asus, ECS, Gigabyte, and MSI I believe. ECS have been first a few times. Large volume OEMs are their big business.

Oh, and I believe Intel boards are built by Foxconn.
