motherboard choice

Alright, I've spent much time researching and debating, and can't come up with what I want to do here. So, I'm asking for some advice and opinions.

I'm building an X2 system, but can't decide on the mobo. I've narrowed it down to either the Asus A8N SLI-Premium or the DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI/DR-Expert (based on price range, number of PCI slots, etc.). I've narrowed it down to these two because they are the only ones that I've found with the features I want that support software SLI switching. However, I've heard that the Asus board has issues with supporting 4 GB RAM (Monarch Computers has a pop-up that says the board does not support 4 GB RAM) and the DFI board has some issues with the SEASONIC PS that I want to use (read all about it at dfi-street).

So, two questions:

1 - Any truth to either of the statements about the issues with the above boards?
2 - Which board would you recommend, and why?

Primary use for this machine is twofold - gaming and work-related, not necessarily in that order. The work I do is a lot of CAD and statistical analysis. I won't necessarily be going with 4 GB right away, but want to be able to easily upgrade to that in the future, if necessary.

Also, if there is another mobo out there that supports software switching between SLI and non-SLI mode, I'm all ears to consider it as well. FYI - I'm not interested in the Crossfire boards as from the reviews I've read, it appears there are generally many stability issues that need to be worked out with those boards yet.

Thanks in advance.
