Out of the those two, Gigabyte because the AX8 is icky VIA

Get at least a 6600GT. The vanilla 6000 will disappoint.

gigabyte mobo/vc...chaintech VNF4 is excellent as long as you have a PCI-e card (just PCI wont work, i'm learning that the hard way)

Im buying from a local store. They do acually have some DFI boards but the s939 one is $75 more.
