I'm building a MicroATX PC for my stepfather and I've been trying to find out which motherboards support the Sempron 3000+ (the one with 512k cache, not the 256k ones that seem more recent). I don't want to pick something expensive, but at the same time, I want it to be of good quality. Anyone have suggestions of good MATX Socket A boards that support that Sempron, given that the vast majority of boards don't support that particular one?

you can pick one ot those Biostar microATX for the Sempron, look for the SIS chipset o Via they usually are cheap and very good. I usually build systems with microATX with the In-video.

I use the Biostar M7VIZ in all of my Voice Mail Server builds. Rock solid. No RMA's yet (knock on wood.) I like the version with the onboard VIA SATA RAID. It actually has a RAID BIOS so I can monitor and rebuild arrays at the BIOS level. Important if I'm trying to save a company's voice mail messages after a hard drive failure. ;)
