When you DL the latest Bios form a Manufactures website, does that particulaer bios version supercede the other versions?

Bacisally, will I have to Upgrade my motherboard's bois more than once?

Thanks

What I receive from your question is if you need to go through all the series of BIOS updates for your motherboad ( lets say that you're current BIOS is v1.00, and there are BIOS v1.01 & v1.02 online now ), so your asking if you should flash to v1.01 & then to v1.02
The answer is no.
You just flash directly to the latest BIOS.
BIOS updates ain't like games updates, they're totally independent "files", we could call it a "cummulative" update :)

be afraid...be very afraid.

check the change logs between BIOS revisions and make sure that you actually need the update. There are ofter quirks from one bios to another that lead to post and boot issues, even when you update the bios correctly.

If you have to do it, then DL the correct BIOS and update software to a bootable floppy. Reboot and run the BIOS update software...and don't shutoff your system in the middle of the update. It will tell you when it completes.

Many new systems have Windows based updates that will go out on the web, find the latest bios, flash it and reboot for you....this is a good option for beginners...
