First - thanks in advance for everyone who's been able to help me get this far, so far..
I've been noticing that the motherboard emits a beep over and over - nonstop. The motherboard is GIGABYTE "GA-K8NSNXP-939" nForce3 Ultra Chipset Motherboard for AMD and I believe it's an award bios - which states that repeated beeps signals a memory problem or even possibly video card problem..
The type of ram in the mobo is Kingston HyperX Series Dual Channel Kits 184-Pin 2GB(1GBx2) DDR PC-3200

2 bars - totalling 2 gigs.
So is it possibly that I have bad ram? Seems hard to believe since Kingston is a pretty good company as far as ram goes, from what I understand. The bars are lined in correctly - but I'm wondering if there's something with this model/kit that is uncompatible with the motherboard.
The video card is extremely old - a PNY GeForce Verto MX 4000 with 64 DDR ram. (PCI)
I guess it's possible that the card is so old the mobo isn't recognizing it? I'd want to make sure it's that before I go out and buy a video card with money that I'd rather not spend at the moment. Feedback appreciated - thanks guys.
