motherboard beeping

The other day i bought a new case (the antec nine hundred) and re-assembled all my parts from my old case into the new one.

At first when i connected everything and tried to boot up the pc there was no display on the monitor, it was on power save mode, so i could not get it to boot up, so what i did was disconnect the cable at the back of video card (some video cards have them) and then re-connect it and everything was working fine.

Everything is working perfectly but i am getting an unusual sound from me pc speaker, its continuous and I've looked up what different pc speaker sounds mean but the sound im hearing is not listed as a BIOS sound.

It's a continuous sound. It sounds a little like when your connecting to the internet with a dial-up modem, but there are no beeps its constant.

I was thinking about using my warranty for the motherboard but its too much of a hassle.
and being that everything is working properly......should i do something about it or leave it as it is, because there are no problems and everything is working.

(BY the way i disconnected the PC Speaker due to the sound)

Could the beeping lead to a bigger problem or not? Because if it cant ill just keep the board as long as it works and THEN use the warranty.

Any suggestions?

it sounds like the mobo's shorting out somewhere...yes I would think it would get worse.

could be a bios warning because CPU temperature alarm set too low
Could be case intrusion alarm is set
Could be a fan is not connected to "correct" header that bios deems necessary (CPU especially)
Could be auto fan speed settings in bios not relevant or too low
Could be KB or mouse not functioning correctly (stuck key, or switched inputs in back of case)
Could be typematic rate too high in bios
Could be a fan RPM too slow, or starting up too slow
Could be HW cable not connected fully or correctly
Could be PSU prob, possibly cable not connected fully
Could be Vid card not all the way down
Could be mobo shorting out on standoff - try mobo out of case
Could be fan is too powerful for mobo header > 2W. (120MM 140MM)

Check your bios settings, something is probably off or needs adjustment. You might have hooked a fan up to the wrong header or knocked one off.
