Motherboard beeping

It's a FIC k7mnf-64.
I'm unsure of the condition of the motherboard & cpu. I'm pretty sure the psu & memory's good.
When I plugged it in & attempted to fire it up, I got a red light & an audible tone...long beep & a short beep...kinda sounded like a European emergency vehicle. The cpu fan spun for about a half-second & quit.
I have no other mb, cpu, psu or memory to swap out.
Ideas? Suggestions?

This Google search may be of help (link 3 especially). You'll have to watch the post screen (if it gets that far) or check the manual to see what type of BIOS you're dealing with.
Good Luck!

Good Luck!

It doesn't even get to the post screen...it starts beeping upon being powered on. If the error message is what I think it is, the cpu's toast. I was afraid of that as there's a little "nipple" on the bottom side of the cpu & a matching brown spot on the motherboard directly below it.
I was hoping that the motherboard was bad & this FIC would do the trick. The FIC might be good, though...the other wouldn't even power on.

Either the CPU is not seated properly or the CPU is damaged. May also be due to excess heat. Check the CPU fan or BIOS settings for proper fan speed. Good luck 🙂
