ATI is making its R520 SLI compatable, if not that card then the R series will be. Will today's sli compatable motherboards be able to hold these radeon 24/32 pipe beasts?

It'd be annoying if their mobo chipset is not as feature rich and performance-on-par with nf4...

What are you talking about? Look at the Xpress200 chipset. Easily feature rich if you get a premium board, and the performance is easily on-par with NF4.

What makes you think the next ATI chipset will be worse?

ATI will not have SLI at all. Multiple GPUs.. yes! AMR. ATi Multi Rendering.

And I've been told that there is a good chance that AMR will be supported by nForce Pro. So at least I'm set. ^^

I can't say, but I doubt it. If ATI releases a chipset that has 2 true x16 PCIe you can bet they will cripple the card to not work at x8! Which means no.
