Motherboard at 48 Degrees Celsius?

Usually its down at like 30, but suddenly its so high, what could have caused this, the only thing I've done is installed a side intake and cleaned out some dust. It doesn't make sense.

mines is 30c and if wheter gets cold they drop to 21c

Honestly your comp is going to have a short life if its really 48c reading,, Did you try speedfan it does a good job with mobo temps. gg and gl , ull need it.


To help you I can say open your case side. I guarantee that 48 will go down to 38c ,, thx

Perhaps when you installed the side intake you moved your airflow, which could be pushing more of the hot air over the Temp sensor on the Mobo.I would try turning the side air intake off briefly and check your temps again. If thats the case, maybe you need more exhaust for the case.

I have side fan, and rear and front fan. Intel board controls rpm of each. And sets them to <1000rpm
This is how intel boards and southbridges are.
As for short life, I bought this board in July 2007, and it is still working as on first day.
