motherboard and ram selection

need some help. the gigabyte motherboard im looking to get supports 32gb max (4 slots) but their mem supported list doesnt show a single 8gb stick in it.

Im assuming its because this motherboard is on revision 4.0 and the list was done when it first came out. does that sound logical?

how is this ram? for now will get 2x8gb and will want to get another later on for. learning video editing.

just wondering if there compatability issues? if I just bought a regular 10666 stick and put it in would I have an issue?

Im nervous because Im ordering this from the US and dont want to have issues with errors and returning and what not.

cheers

It's 1.5v DDR3 RAM... should be good to go.

I don't take much from the memory supported lists... Just make sure the specs are right on the RAM and roll with it. You might be surprised... 16GB RAM might be enough.
