Motherboard and RAM compatibility

I am thinking of ordering this motherboard.

With this RAM which I have already ordered that says it is compatible with Z68, P67, and P55 chipsets. The above MB has an H67 chipset. Will these two play nice together or do I need to get one of the other chipsets?

This is the RAM I ordered and yes it is overkill for the motherboard but it was cheap. I got 20% off that price.

Well according to the motherboard specs the lowest memory voltage it can handle is 1.35V but the stuff I bought is ultra low voltage which I thought was good at the time. So what board/chipset can handle this ultra low voltage memory or is it just a BIOS update.

Question: why would you choose an Intel board, when you can get a board from another manufacturer with the same or more features, for less?

Well it has what I need and nothing more. I don't need all the overclocking stuff. The intel board had the right slots and ports for making an HTPC. I believe I will run into the same issues with any H67 chipset.

Sure. I'm not suggesting to buy a board that overclocks. What I meant was, you can purchase a new MSI or Gigabyte board, with the same amount of slots or more, for a about $15 less.

Well I am hopeing the Intel board will be a little more stable and less flakey in general. I am thinking set it and forget it here. Actually the ASUS boards I have been looking at where $30 higher. The intel board has the sound outputs for the surround computer speakers and also and optical out. It also has 3 PCI slots and those are getting harder and harder to find.
