Hope I'm in the correct Forum:

Thinking of upgrading my current unit.
Buying a XP 2100+ and a friend is offering to sell me his Asus A7V266-E. what do you experts think of this mobo or is there another better one. I'm not very experienced in Athlons, always used Intel.

Also thinking of using my current Creative card, Soundblaster Live.

Thanks

Hey take a look at the EPOX boards like the mh8...or something like that...... you can look on new egg and see the pics and specs.

Stay with intel you always have to tinker around with AMD to keep them running stable. Experience has SPOKEN.intel

Asus A7V266-E is a nice mobo and KT266A is still the best and fastest
one for AMD-DDR solutions. about the price you can check on Newegg
for the price and also on others mobo.

Thanks, never owned a AMD, and am looking forward. However, still worried about compatibility. any problems I should be aware.

Thanks
