Motherboard advice: KT333 Chipset

I have no hands on experience with this chipset but
if I had the money I would buy the Abit AT7 for it's
sheer performance and features, I have no need
for PS/2, serial or parallel ports anymore so it would
suit me just fine. If you want bang for the buck I think
the Epox would win my money.

I have purchased the MSI KT3 Ultra. I am completely hapy with it. It is extreemly stable and fast. I have not flashed the bios yet mainly because the flashed are to fix things that I do not use anyways and I don't think that this bios needs it really. It is an all arround grat board. I think I remember reading an article that MSI's KT333 was the fastest of them. $99 for the one without raid.

If you want a pretty inexpensive motherboard for $100, the SOLTEK SL-75DRV5 (Purple Ray) VIA KT333 is one of my favorites...it has great performance without the expense, a great variety of software including a tempeature moniter that you can use in windows, and overclocking features. The bios is AWARD's new v6.0, which I highly recommend. Check out newegg.com...its only $98.00 there...but if you don't like it, keep looking around newegg.com...you're bound to find a motherboard that's just right for you.

Take a look at the EPoX 8K3A or 8K3A+. They are both ~$100 and have a ton of overclocking options. You really can't go too wrong picking any of the boards mentioned so far but the EPoX has my vote.
