Hello,
I need new motherboard for core 2 duo processor that enable resolution of my monitor
1680*1050. I mean something that works out of the box. The problem is that manufactures inform only about maximal resolution. I used to have asus p5b-vm. It can't set resolution 1680*1050 (only 1600*1200). It also complains when connecting headphones - all 6 sockets are wrong! As result some bore.me clips had no sound. Now my board is dead and I have to buy new one - similar speed but without these two problems.
Thanks in advance,
K. :(

You need a separate video card to run high resolution settings, or your system will run too slow. Plus, you'll have a better chance of getting the 1680x1050 setting with a separate card. I suggest a low end pci-e card with nvidia chipset, such as the 6200LE or 7300LE.
