Any one know which retailers offer to test motherboards before shipment ?

Even if there is a charge, seems like a good idea to possibly avoid tearing out what hair I have left........ :D

Do you have any experience with this / or have you used it ?

I'd like to know.

I need to buy 2 new motherboards; I think I'd first buy one and if no problems, buy a second one from the same retailer.

Thanks much !

:D

I don't understand your question. Why would a reseller test brand new boards from reputable manufacturers or distributors. There is a presumption that new equipment from OEM's will work when properly installed. To test this equipment would add unnecessary cost to a vendor's bottom line.

I don't think that you are likely to find any reseller who is cost competitive who tests all motherboards before shipment.

A lot of the resellers listed on pricewatch do.

But I share RockV's sentiment on the issue. Those resellers usually have the option to add a mobo test, a 3 year warantee, and a lot of other useless stuff checked by default just so they can get you to pay for something useless.
