Was just taking some decomposing 2x6's the previous residents of our house had framed a "garden" with. The first three sides were easy, just some ants. Apparently the last side also must have housed a wasps nest. Complacency FTL.

Stung three times, one just above the ankle, one just above the wrist and one on the knuckle of my pinky (which hurts the worst and happens to be swollen and nearly immobile).

Waiting for potential anaphalectic reaction to set it so my family can collect the insurance money (I'm not allergic, at least not aware if I am).

If this JUST happened, find some meat tenderizer and put some on the wound.

Then throw your limbs on the grill. Mmmm... tenderized spicy man flesh!

Actually, I'd have to come up with a proper recipe first, take pics and post it.

Lucky, you got off easy.

I got stung 3 times in the country once cause I stepped on a nest in an area with lots of brush and grass. Once on the ear, once on scalp and once on my arm. I killed one son of a bitch that stayed in my hair though.

I got it last summer right on the top of the upper lip, man was I pissed. I went to Ace hardware and got 2 cans of stream-wasp killer for revenge, my lip got so swollen it looked like Rocky Balboa jacked me one..

The one on my hand is the only one that still hurts... It actually is sore all the way up into the palm of my hand. Feels like somebody smashed it with a hammer.

Call in NuclearNed. He'll make those wasps apologize with their last breath.

Or, you know, NuclearNed it from orbit.

I mowed the lawn for the first time recently in my new yard. My first fear was to hit some kind of bee or hornet nest, as I was venturing in areas that have never been mowed properly by the previous owners. Then thinking to myself "maybe there's a reason they kept their distance from there".

Was safe though. But yeah finding a surprise nest is not too too fun.

this happened when I was mowing the lawn one time. Three stings on the legs after going over a hornet nest. Ouch.

I found one while trimming the cedar hedge. I ran like a little bitch and got stung on my arm before I made into the enclosed patio.

Never heard of that, but a baking soda paste will help pain and swelling.

Gotta pass on my embarrassing tale. I was stung by a DEAD bumblebee! I found it on the window ledge inside our front porch, obviously dead, and picked it up inside a folded Kleenex. In the course of carrying it to the garbage I squeezed it a bit too hard. Apparently it died with the stinger extended, and my squeeze was enough to push it into my finger! Shocked and embarrassed all at once!

Ouch, that sucks! Wasps are little bitches because they don't lose their stinger. They just keep right on stinging

as a teen i was looking over a triumph i found in a field in texas to restore, a wasp nest was in the tool kit storage area and i got a few stings on my calf. hurt like a sonuvabitch. my step grampa told me to lay on the couch and he packed the bites with copenhagen chew. damn near instant pain relief, left it on for about 3 hours and it was all good. never got infected, didnt swell much at all.
