I am looking for a good song for the Mother/Son dance at my wedding. Most of the songs that I have looked at are basically what the mother would say to the son. But I want it to be from me to her. We have a meeting with the DJ next week and I have to make up my mind by then.

I hate to say it, but you will not get a good response here. Check with a wedding planner if you have one.

For example, I read the title and now Tom Lehrer's Oediphus Rex is now bouncing through my head. ;)

Thanks, but my wife picked it out for me. Another that she liked (I think it was our first dance song) was Over The Rainbow by IZ

That's probably actually the best song posted in this thread. I even get teary eyed when I play it. My mom just loses it when she hears the song b/c she thinks about her mom who died about 5 years ago.
