Mother nature can be far scarier then what man can do.

A super volcano could put us in a nuclear winter. And I am still digging stuff up on extraterrestrial objects hitting the earth :p

I think we could manufacture some sort of machinery to ionize the air and suck the free floating dirt particles if we really needed to.

we would have to do something, but I am sure humanity would be resourceful enough to figure out a way.

Against something like a Super Volcano? Other than early warning detection, I dunno. That's pretty big to resist. Why haven't I ever heard of this before? Has anyone else? If something like this really is reality and could happen soon, you'd be looking at a mass exodus of the Rocky Mountain/Western U.S areas into the East. Other than maybe a foot of ash, it looks as if Texas is safe. But I'm still not sure how much of this to believe. If Space.com puts an article out on it, that seems pretty factual to me though. Hmm.

I've heard about the supervolcanoes from a show on the Discovery Channel aptly named Super Volcanoes.

I say we all destroy ourselves now. It's bound to be less unpleasant than what mother nature has in store for us, and it would be so much more convenient to get it over with all at once. Can we really afford not to kill ourselves now? Who's with me?

Yeah! We could get Sharper Image to build us a giant Super Ionic Breeze!

I remember learning about some volcano that was so powerful when it went off, it literally blew itself apart, and now all we have left is a GIANT crater which is now a lake. I'm sure a couple people will know the one I'm talking about. I think it's in Mexico.

"The volcano erupts with a near-clockwork cycle of every 600,000 years. The last eruption was more than 640,000 years ago - we are overdue for annihilation."

so the supervolcano in yellowstone is 40,000 years overdue to explode... great!

We'd have to clean that thing like every 5 minutes.... not so easy when you think about it..
