You could try the Abit NF7-S from Newegg for $125.
(Tell Newegg to make sure that they ship the rev 2.0)

Have 2500+ Barton running 200FSB & PC3200 ram synchronized.
Runs 2205 MHz ? acts like 3100+. May do more, but I'm happy w/SLK-800 air.😀

I line my NF7-S. Great sound card, ethernet, firewire, etc.... and supports Bartons and the 400Mhz chips coming out soon.

I got my board about 3 weeks ago and it was a 2.0 so go with newegg.com

After several postings in many forums and
after reading many reports on several MOTHER BOARDS

Its is clear Abit and Asus are nice boards with problems

It is even more clear by all the results MSI is a better board

MSI K7N2-L: the Enforcer

Conclusion:

It is in our opinion that this motherboard is truly the king of motherboards. It offers just about anything anyone would ever need onboard, great over clocking, and excellent usability. All of those attributes and the fact that it physically looks good is more than reason enough to give it the Invasion Editors Choice Award, but alas this award still does not exist. I?m pleased to say though that the Barton core will be supported by the NForce 2 boards so luckily this board will still have a good long run.

More nForce2: New Boards from Abit, Biostar and MSI

Summary: No Surprises

The new boards take widely different places in the test panel: MSI far ahead, Abit in the middle and Biostar, unhappily, way behind. Although performance differences are usually very slight, in a few benchmarks there is a good 10% difference from the fastest to the slowest candidate.

We will have to hold the high performance of the MSI board at arm's length, because the values are achieved by slightly enhanced FSB clock speeds - as always, this is not a reliable way to get high scores in the tests. Regardless of this, the K7N2-L offers an attractive price/ performance ratio, while the equipment of the K7N2G is on the same good level as that of the Asus A7N8X and the Chaintech 7 NJS.

The Biostar M7NCG lags somewhat behind in performance. However, the high-quality range of features, including FireWire and overclocking options, in conjunction with the usually lower price of Micro ATX boards makes up for this.

Gigabyte GA-7VAX is nice , but seems to have trouble oc'ing .You might want to wait for VIA's new KT400a chipset , which seems to be better than the KT400 on the GA-7VAX .

Im going to try the >.> Chipset: nForce2 SPP, MCP2 I can always buy another mobo anytime
