Please forgive me if this information is located in various threads. I simply don't have the time to search right now. I am going to buy a C2D 4300 next week when the price drops, but I am unclear as to which motherboard to purchase. I do plan to overclock and would be happy with 3.2-3.5. I am probably going to purchase 2Gigs of Super Talent DDR2800. I have been leaning toward the Gigabyte DS3 but have read some posts that indicate Rev3.3 might have compatibility issues with the 4300. I have no idea if this is true. Please recommend a board in the $100-$120 that can easily reach a FSB of 400 and is compatible with the 4300. Thanks

It won't happen in any way shape or form with a DS3. Most people can't get a 4300 stable in the 375-400 region no matter what they modify. Try an ASUS board. DS3 has been very annoying for me with a 4300. Changed the ram and it is now stable but I can't push it past 375 FSB.

After a BIOS update. Someone just last week had a problem due to a new board coming with an outdated BIOS, that wasn't E4300 friendly.

Why do people relate everyone to just themselves? http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1138241

Most people use the DS3 being the most used mobo for overclocking ... though results do vary :(
