Who do you think the most underrated actor/actress is? Someone who doesn't get the credit you think he/she deserves?
Obviously this will be someone who plays in major pictures, not a no-name talent that nobody ever saw or heard of.

I would have to go with Ralph Fiennes. The guy is so versatile, and extremely talented. Just watch him in Schindler's list.
 
Mel Gibson. at least, recently. but he's gone off producing his own movies, so I suppose casting offices won't be dealing with him.
 
My favorite actor is Edward Norton. I don't think he gets enough credit for his performances. Especially getting beaten for best supporting actor in Primal Fear by Cuba Gooding in Jerry Maguire.

I know he's a big star, I just don't hear enough about him 🙂 I'm not really a big celebrity follower
 
Scarlett Johansson from Lost in translation. I dont know if shes underrated, but shes a very talented actress (and damn cute) so I just threw her name out there.

I can never take him seriously.. I know he's meant to be funny and silly but when you look at similiar actors like Ben Stiller or Adam Sandler they can be taken more seriously.

Has he played any roles that he is supposed to be taken seriously? Have you ever seen Royal Tennebaums?

Robin Christopher is mostly a daytime soap star, but has done a few bit parts in movies. I think she is grossly underrated. She is gorgeous, hugely talented and, from what I have read and seen, a really nice person in real life.

I agree with Cougar's list with the exception of Jim Caviezel (though I bet he'll be good in 'The Passion of the Christ') and Michael Rappaport (doesn't he always play some sort of dim-witted, blue-collar Yankee?)
