I was looking for a webpage that had a lot going on and takes a long time to load. This wasn't exactly what I was looking for but it's damn ugly and I was surprised that these people are in the computer business.

Looks like a pretty standard forum layout to me. What's the issue?

This is basically what I came in here to say. Website design in the 90s was borderline incompetent.

Go Geocities!

In a discussion of bad web design, 90s don't count. People were still experimenting back then, and nobody really knew what they were doing. Limited bandwidth was also a major issue.

A lot of Asian websites are poorly designed.

what, nothing with a stupid annoying flash intro?

Restaurant websites seem to be especially prone to this and other bad design decisions. The expensive/famous restaurants tend to be the worst of all; almost universally the site is some sort of flash intro leading into a page that's an abstract design almost impossible to navigate, especially with a smartphone.

Back in MySpace's heyday I saw MUCH worse. :'(
It was brutal when they had colorful gifs in the background and it automatically played music when viewed.

Myspace is no longer worth any money? Gee I wonder why
