most ticketed vehicles list

If I were a cop, I wouldn't want to pull over a Silhouette. Hell, I wouldn't want to even be seen on the same road as one.

I'm surprised at the Subaru Outback making the top 10, the WRX/STi I could see easily, but the station wagon?

Outback can run 🙂

Scion's are in the highest, and Buick's are in the lowest. 😀

And my Saturn doesn't even show up on the list.

Violations per 100,000 miles driven, expressed as percentage of average

I'm not a math wizard so I don't know if my logic is right but maybe hummers just aren't driven as many 100k miles as other cars. Does that make sense?

Im surprised to see Audi A4 on the most ticketed. When I had my Civic cops used to stare at me and I got 3 tickets in a year. Now, in my A4, I can be blatantly above the speed limit and the cops don't even look in my direction.

Yeah.... A better measure would have been per X amount of vehicles. It allows for a better control. The two Mercs alone probably don't even sell a thousand each per year. They probably don't have very many out there with over 100k miles on them.

My GF. I swear, she gets at least 50 tickets a year. Always has to go to mandatory classes. Most are parking violations.

>Mercedes Benz CLK63 AMG 397%

If you've seen the youtube videos for this car, that is quite believeable.

But no Corvettes? Shens.

Sharing the bottom of the list? Buicks, minivans and pickups.
So basically, cops don't want to give tickets to old people, soccer moms, or rednecks?

EDIT: Also this makes me happy that I got a Honda Fit instead of a Scion xD. Virtually the same car, but one has a reputation and the other doesn't.

I think the measure is weird... per 1k mile driven. There are tons of buicks, minivans and pickups that rack up a lot of mileage.

No, that would not be a better measure. You don't have to drive a car over 100k miles for it to be included in this study.

only old fat guys drive these... its not a douchemobile

Just looked at the list, seems they like to ticket Asian made cars more than US or non-asian. Me senses racism.

It is still skewed for certain cars though.

Oh, and I do get what you mean (I guess they mean 100k overall, not on a per car basis)

SUM(tickets) / (SUM(miles) * 100000) easiest and most accurate

my cousin drives a chevy tahoe - guy gets a ticket every 3 months so I don't think it helps.

I drive faster and more aggressively than he does in a red Honda Accord and I haven't gotten a ticket in 2 years.
