What the hell!? I was envisioning this giant Howitzer type gun or something and they are talking about a Glock? I realize automatic weapons are a rarity in the UK but they really hyped this one up. Sounds JUST like American journalism...

Exactly I through it was going to be about the Iraqi Supergun.

Agreed. It's like trying to use the National Enquirer as a measure of American journalism.

Different countries also have different views on guns. In the US, if someone has a gun it's not big deal. Here in Canada it's rare for people to have them. I see a gun once every few years, and it's only when I happen to be at someone's house who is a hunter. Well, discounting seeing the butt of a cop's handgun once in a while too...

If a glock 18 surfaced here in someone's house, it'd be a relatively big deal; not quite as big as this article, but it wouldn't be brushed off as a "no biggie".

ROFL!!! HAHA. it's like a joke. They even didn't check for editing and have two words joined together (which I'm allowed to do on at!). How could it cause a massacre in the hands or somebody unused to it? It fires 1100 rounds/minute, which means that you're not going to hit sh*t unless you can handle it properly, and with a 19 round magazine you'll have barely over a second of firing time.

Yeah but even canadians wouldn't call it the most terrifying gun in the world seized 😉

Someone had posted a video of this gun being fired at a target awhile back. It is pretty damn impressive actually. I'm sorry but I don't have a link to the video, but someone out there does.

Ok, which FPS will have this gun first? 🙂
Does CS have the Glock 17 or Glock 18??? Either way, that gun sucks. Can't hit the broadside of a barn with that thing 🙂

capable of firing 1100 rounds per minute.... with a 19 round clip.... ya.. right 😛

yes i know that if it had an 1100 round clip it could do it.... but it doesnt... so give the person 1 second to reload and 1 second to fire every round and realize they are all gone... it's still 19 rounds every 2 seconds... not 1100 rounds per minute

Fvck, I legally own a Glock 17 with 4 17 round magazines (BTW-I live in Kalifornia). I can empty an entire clip in a matter of seconds. This is a semi-automatic, one shot per trigger pull and perfectly legal. I don't see how the Glock 18 is much different quite frankly and I don't see why it is banned in the US (if it really is banned).

Good thing Clinton banned those evil assault weapons. That really made a huge impact on crime in the US didn't it?

It's not "banned" really. It's just made after 1986 and no way for civilian's to own (full auto stuff has to be made and registered before the 1986 ban). Completely legal Class III as far as I know. Just limited to dealers/LEOs.

So your car doesn't ACTUALLY go 55 mph until you've got 55 miles after 1 hour?

not if your car requires a refill every1 mile😉

and lol, that article is hilarious🙂 you''d probably kill more with a normal glock, considering you'd be able to aim it at more then one person😛

THE first fully automatic handgun to surface in the UK - capable of firing 1,100 rounds a minute - has been seized in a police raid.

It is a Glock 18, banned from sale in the US and described as a "monster of a weapon" that fires bullets with the intensity of a high- pressure water hose.

Too bad there isn't an 1, 100 round magazine for it. 😉 The Mirror is right on par with The Enquirer and World News Weekly when it comes to quality journalism. The Glock 18 isn't banned from sale in the U.S. either, you just need the proper license for it. Fscking retards.
Not to mention an adequate cooling system for it! :Q

OMFG, everyone in the UK is @ risk now, I'll bet they're handing them out in schoolyards with 33 rd clips & AP ammo.
WTH do you need AP ammo for? Do school children where body armor now or something?
