Most stable P4 DDR board?

I am planning to sell my P4 1.6A to my friend, but I want to keep my EPoX 4G4A+ board (I am going to get a P4 2.26B instead 🙂). What board should I get for him? He just wants a decent machine, which means I will OC the 1.6A to 2GHz only, don't want to push the limit. But stability is absolutely key here. Also, onboard sound, NIC would be nice. What would you suggest? Gigabyte? EPoX? ASUS? Which one? Thanks for the help!

MOst board will have a different level of stability depending on what you put on it. Board A is stable with a C-Media sound card, bu un-stable with a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. So its more the chipset (SiS648, Via P4X400) and what you put on the board that will decide the stability.

Look for a good chipset. Try to find a board with the NEW SiS 648 chipset. It should have USB2.0, sound, and maybe even a on-board Nic. I would say to look at the New P4X400 chipset, but there are only 2 boards out there right now so if you are building this in the next week I would go for the NEW SiS chipset.
