Im building a system for a guy i know and all he wants to do with it is run a database. Stability is the most important thing so Im thinking of going P3 or Celeron(although I love AMD). But I think intel is the right road for this one. So what is the best board for this purpose? Would I be best off with something with on-board video?
thanks,

All my Intel boards (intel brand) have been great.

Pick the one that fits your needs best.

815 series may work for what you need

My TUSL2 has been nothing but good to me. But i'd say stick with an intel made board. IF you not going to O/c , which i assume you would not, then Intel all the way.

<< IF you not going to O/c >>

Right. TUSL2 and P4T-E are fine, but if u aren't gonna overclock, then there's no reason not to go Intel.

The Intel 850GB and Asus P4T-E are ridiculously stable boards.

I second that statement. Both are supposed to be the most stable boards for the P4 out on the market right now.

If you decide to switch to AMD, make sure you get the Tyan Tiger MP board. It's known for it's great stability. You could also wait for Tyan and ASUS MPX boards later this year.
