Gotta love the Huffington Post.

The Dems got trashed last night. I put the blame squarely on Obama and his policies. Most people are pissed and it showed.

It's going to be a difficult two years for Democrats.

Last time we had so many Republicans was the 1920s, and we all know what happened next. THE GREAT DEPRESSION!

Are we going to have the same?

The democrats and republicans are two sides of the same coin. Corporate owned plutocrats. By my math, almost 100% of the federal government is under corporate ownership.

But, but, but,,, obama is a wonderful leader. He balanced trade with china, closed gitmo, stopped domestic spying, and has been the most transparant president ever

The difference between democrats and republicans, republicans put people to work.

The keystone pipeline and other nation wide projects will get passed, people will go to work, economy will get a jump start, and obama will steal the credit for it.

The important thing is who has the state capitals in 2020 for the redistricting.
2020 is a presidential year, unlike 2010, which was a mid-term year. So Democrats should have more state legislatures next time around, which will put the House in play again.
As far as abortion restrictions, those are good for turning out pro-lifers. Until they pass. Then they are good for turning out pro-choicers. If GOP lost gay marriage, they have no chance on abortion. SCOTUS did GOP a favor with Roe, because they could turn out pro-lifers without risk of actually having to defend abortion bans with voters, since courts would reverse them before that happened. Current SCOTUS looks intent on making it a live issue again, which is good for Democrats politically.
