For anything that can use it, RDC. For everything else, UltraVNC. If it weren't for bandwidth / efficiency issues I would use UltraVNC for everything.

Which one can blank the screen on the vncserver so that people cannot see what I am doing?

Which one can redirect audio to the vncviewer so that I can hear the Windows notification beeps?

Edit:
I did not want to start a new thread when this one was so relevant. I hope you don't mind.

Logmein can blank the screen and lock the keyboard and mouse. I'm not sure about the audio though.

I have used LogMein mainly because it is quick to setup...have not really tried others.

To those using LogMeIn, do you use the free one or the Pro one? I'm thinking of getting it to help my parents whenever they have a computer issue. Ditto for my mom-in-law.

Dameware remote at work
Crossloop for relatives/coworkers (Crossloop is simply awsome)

I use VNC rarely, still a very good tool

The limitations on Logmein FREE, I believe, include not getting the audio from the host computer, and not being able to transfer files from host to client. When you sign up for Logmein Free, you get a free trial of Pro for a week or two, so that can help you figure out if you need the pro features or not. I use the free version, and it's great - very simple to use.
