most likely weak link causing game freezes?

Stats below, moderate o/c, very stable, eats prime95 for breffus.
New 44.03 drivers got me revisiting a few graphically cool games I played recently (UII and AVP2). Wow, Nvidia really knows how to tweak drivers. Even if they do stack 'em for benchmarks.

Anyhow, the games will now freeze for about 10 seconds every once in a while, occasionally, alot, well....all the frigging time. No control and frozen screen for 10 seconds then back to normal. Nothing else is slow about this machine. Any ideas?

I'm at 1.625 on the CPU and 2.7 on the memory right now. Could these be bumped higher? Maybe a pagefile glich? R these freezes even o/c related? Any experience wit this would be appreciated. Thanx

i would suggest opening ur case up and touching the back of your video card where ur gpu is, if its pretty hot i would say theres a pretty fair chance ur having graphics overheating problems, ive noticed blizzard games are particularly sensitive to this not sure about anything else but if ur gpu is hot it wont crash ur computer itll just crash out of games or give u the occasional lock up if it gets super hot, if it is this u can order gpu coolers pretty much anywhere

Thanks for the reply. The GPU doesn't feel hot at all. I lowered the o/c to 2.9GHz, RAM to 2.6 and CPU to 1.55 while also tightening the CAS to 2-5-2-2 (4:5 divider). The PCI bus is locked at 33. The freezes almost disappeared, almost. Just 1 in a complete level of UII. I expect that if I drop back to 2.8 (where I was) the freezes would disappear altogether. So I don't think it's voltage or mem timings. What do you think? There's really not too much difference in real performance but I want (and should be able to get) higher stable FSB speed. Any ideas would be appreciated.
