Most lightweight graphic browser?

I have successfully shoehorned Win2K onto a Toshiba Libretto 100CT (P166MMX, 64mb RAM) and don't want to be stuck with IE5 as my browser... suggestions for a lightweight graphic browser that is still fully functional? Disk footprint not very important because there's a 30gb disk in it now 🙂

Thanks in advance.

k-meleon is like a lightweight firefox, that's an option

opera 6 was what i used on a p75/16mb w/ win95
it wasn't fast, but was the best performer of modern browsers on that system

somebody will try to tell you lynx, but that's a text-only browser, though it is said to be the most lightweight browser since you asked.

If you prefer Firefox, you could always go with Firefox portable (a portable-ized version of Firefox that removes a lot of the need to install. It runs a lot like muTorrent).

Last time I used a 166mhz, the only browser that was usable was MyIE2 Lite. Everything else was unacceptable. I tried Opera, but it was too slow. Some older versions of Opera ran okay, but they were too old and lacked modern features. Some people say K-Meleon is light so that program was installed as a test. The results were not encouraging at all as it took forever to load pages. As you would have expected, even MyIE2 Lite was painful as it choked on pages with Flash which apparently is everywhere. Granted, MyIE2 Lite is just an IE shell, but it had a few extra features and seemed lighter when opening up multiple pages. Its popup blocker also seemed better than just using IE.

Thus in my opinion, a 166mhz system is too slow to be practical today. However, if forced to use a system that old, I would select MyIE2 Lite as a browser.
