Diablo II. I did so many gear runs...

WOW was a lot too, but I got off my addiction after 4 months and a failed $800 course.

Morrowind probably added up to 200-300 hours, Oblivion about 150. Fallout Vegas is probably up there too.

LOLOL...

most definitely a MMO would win this area..

I can say the same about Ragnarok Online.

If i actually sat down and calculated the time it required for me to get a priestess to high priestess and then to level 99, i think i would of realized my time is better spent learning to build from scratch wood.

I could of probably built an entire house in the same time.

Hah, this is why I will never in my life subscribe to an MMO. I don't trust myself to not want to just keep playing. Luckily WoW is old as hell now, I tried the free install thing they have now (play up to level 20 for free or whatever), and it looked and played like total shit (it's really old now, so whatever), so I deleted it almost immediately.

Wow, lots of people with crazy amounts of spare time here! Since I got back into PC games after graduating 3 years ago I got 90 hours in Civ 4 (according to Steam) as the most, pretty pathetic. Don't think I have more than 2-300 hours in all my games combined! How do you people do it?! (Don't have a job, house and/or a wedding to plan perhaps?)

364 days played time in WoW...although, the first few years i actually was playing...a lot of the time for the last two i'd say, was me logged in on my toon but doing something else..watching tv, doing housework, and then taking myself off afk to stayed logged in and checking every once in a while to see if anything was going on that i felt like doing. (which eventually ended up being nothing which is why i dont play now).

second closest is BC2...i just got the 5 days played achievement.

lol at the difference.

I used to be a hardcore EVE Online player, but it just stopped being fun. Lately I've been playing Civ 4 BTS.

Roughly 800 days /played between 2 characters on WoW.
I quit before Cataclym was released and all end game pve content had been done.
Really want a new MMO to come out that will spark my interest.
Something like pre noob friendly and welfare epic WoW would have me hooked.
Am going to be giving GW2 a try maybe, just maybe...

I accumulated all of my WoW time while in high school.
Self taught at home program basically let me do 18hrs per day on WoW.
Now that I work full time mon-fri I only get about 6 hours on those days. And usually do 20 or so on weekends.

Edit: I had a rl friend/guild mate he had more time to play than me. On WoWs first year anniversary he had right under 300 days played across multiple toons lul.

Make sure you state the game. It can be single or multiplayer. I'm sure most answers will be multiplayer, but some singleplayer games can still take alot of time (mainly open world RPGs like Oblivion, or stuff like the Sims, Civ, Total war etc...)

Mine would be WoW. If you combine the playtime of all my characters it would be around 300 days (7200 hours.) Though I quit long ago, and don't regret a minute of it (still in contact with my wow buddies.)

Heroes of Newerth is second, having played roughly 1500 hours. Dota would have to be third. I don't have numbers for it (played it mostly on LAN with friends) but it has to be over 500 hours.

What about you?

I have something like 1000 hours in HoN.

RTCW: ET
Diablo II
Starcraft
CS 1.6
CS:S

I had 3 99-hr savefiles logged onto Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1, but apparently that pales in comparison to all y'all . . ..

Counter Strike

All the way from beta to '06. I played in tournaments and at least 2hrs a day. No game sucked away as much time in my life as that did.

Impressive list. What program are you using to track those hours?

And what's with the awesome games that have very little playtime? (SC2, GTA IV, ME2) Did you not like them or is your app not tracking everything?

He's using X-fire. Nice gaming chat/tracking tool, and its free, so why not?
Indeed. It also records video (like Fraps), & screenshots, etc.

As for the "awesome" games with little playtime, i'd say it's a taste thing.

I personally am rather picky about what games i actually like, & unfortunately, i have an extremely hard time finishing games due to getting bored or a short attention-span (if the game doesn't catch my interest).
Most non-multiplayer games i never finish. Until the last couple years, the only single player game i'd ever finished was FEAR. I know, sad.

GTA 4 wasn't really my thing.
SC2 is a great game but not for me. I got lost trying the training/tutorial part during a trial from my friends. Not my kinda game at all.
ME2 i did like but i got stuck at one spot and have never gotten around to figuring out how to get past that (and the game hasn't been reinstalled).

Some of the numbers are off due to not having Xfire running, and Xfire doesn't track Minecraft or Catan Online, both of which i have around 50-100 hours in.
I also had probably another 500 hours in UT2k4 from before i started actually using Xfire.

n7 you have my respect for those UT2k4 hours (as long as they were spent playing CTF/DDOM/TDM/DM)

I say shens.

No shenanigans here.
As stated most of my WoW time was accumulated in high school.
Of which I did an 'alternative' learning program that required only 2 to 3 hours of time per week to complete and was done strictly at home.
This gave me approximately 18 hours a day to play.
And beside bio, food, and fap sessions I was logged onto and playing WoW.
So for four years I was able to maintain that schedule.
And even afterwards when my time was severely limited in comparison I still managed to get 8 or so hours a day in.
It was my life, and I do miss it often contemplating reactivating.
Yet now that I work 8-12 hours per day 5 days a week I simply dont have the time to dedicate that I would like.
I am proud of all that I had accomplished and the memories and experiences will be forever remembered.
First kills on C'Thun, Classic Kel'Thuzad, and Kil'jaeden are just great virtual accomplishments that I am proud of.
A few people I met via WoW even became really good friends whom I talk with on a regular basis.
