Just curious, a lot of ATers are from areas of the country (yes I know there are other countries in the world - not to downplay you, but the majority of AT is American, so suck it~ :p) where ... well, let's just say farming and going to church are a way of life - do any of you know any Jethros? Any Cletuses? Any Clems? Wyatts? etc... ? What's the most rural-type name anyone you know has? :p

Barnaby. Not hick but this guy in my comm class (EE comm, not Engligsh comm). Best guess by my gf is that his parents went looking in the phonebook for names.

Those are hippie names, not hick names. Get it right or pay the price.

My Girlfriend's name is Tasha Dee. She is adamant about only being referred to by her first name, and about it being pronoounced with a long "A".

Sad the number of individuals not aware of the distinction between "hick" and "hippy".

My first roommate freshman year was named Milburn Elden Buckminister, the 3rd. And yeah, it was as bad as it sounds. He talked in his sleep LOUD amongst other things, and his fruity dad would call at like 8 in the morning and I would have a huge hangover and he started singing to me over the phone about Jesus and cheeseburgers. Needless to say I got a new roommate. :D

edit: I guess that's not really hick though
