Probably the Daniel Pearl video.

From the "news media" description," you might be right ffmcobalt 🙁 , but I have yet to see any video & still-shot's.

I've seen both. The vid that I have has just under half of the video blacked out with Pearl's head being held up in the air in a vinyette (sp?) scrolling a plea to fight back against the middle eastern extremists. There's both stills and full motion video of the act. It's, quite simply, horrifying. It wasn't some quick clean thing. It was long, drawn out, and looked as though the executioner was having difficulty and had to work at it. :disgust:

horrifying for wimps like you maybe...

I'll agree that any true injury is far more horrifying than a director's creation, but why would you intentionally seek out the footage of Daniel Pearl's assassination? Unless you are a law enforcement officer or otherwise involved in the investigation to find those responsible, what's the point? I think that this is the sign of a sick and morbid fascination that probably requires professional attention. As many benefits as the internet has offered us, the free transport of media of this nature gives me the willies. And SnapIT, to make light of a tragedy like this goes beyond words.

All of these are weak compared to a certain scene in "American Me".

If you haven't seen it... DON'T!

Let's just say it involves a prison gang rape... and what looks like a sharpened, serrated pie server (or some similar utensil).

Although it's one of the best movies ever, I hate the part in PulP Fiction where Zed and pals go to town on Marcellus Wallace. But it was so redeeming because he went "medieval on his arse."

Not the most gruesome, but the most shocking for me especially since I was so young. and on drugs.

Dead Presidents, the scene where the gooks cut his unit off and shoved into his mouth and his guts were hanging out

i can't remember what that ovie was called, but some cop was 'frozen', and years later in the future there was no crime and the police were pussies etc. Then that balck guy came back and started reeking havark, and they thought the only way to stop him was to unfreeze this cop who would know what to do. Anyway....

the scene where the black guy breaks free, and to open the door he has to get the eye of the scientist, and he gets it on a fountain pen :disgust:

There were a couple scenes in Cube that were kinda gruesome, one guy gets acid on his face, another guy gets sliced up by a fly swatter like thing... most gruesome in a movie though? Hmm that would probably be in event horizon there are quite a few gross parts, one of the main characters tears his eyes out... its pretty gross.

That would be "Demolition Man".

I cringed during Requium for a Dream, when the guys are in the car and he shoots up. He pulls up his sleeve to reveal an awfully disgusting track mark that is scabbed over and bleeding. Then, he proceeds to insert the needle into the horrible mess. It's a pretty tough scene to watch.

Final Destination 2 has some gruesome scenes but the movie itself sucks ass.

Full Metal Jacket has some great ones, too.

I don't remember the name of the movie, but the scene involves a bunch of mobsters, two unfortunates who didn't pay their tribute, and a wood chipper.

One guy goes back to his boss, carrying two big black garbage bags.

Not a movie, but last night i watched Part 7 of Band of Brothers (again) and that is the one where the one guy gets his leg blown off and they show him trying to drag himself into a foxhole, and then Garnier (sp?) goes to help and gets his leg pulverized by another shell.

Both Cannibal Holocaust and Cannibal Ferox, where they kill the turtle (a big turtle). It's gruesome and disturbing since it's real, they really killed a turtle in front of the cameras :|! Cannibal Holocaust had other gruesome scenes as well

One reviewer said:

I have been officially desensitized to all forms of cruelty, gore, death, and carnage that can be put on a video camera. This movie would make even Hannibal Lecter feel sick to his stomach. The movie seems completely real as it is being filmed, if it wasn't for the poor acting and they said this was actual footage, I might believe them. Cannibal Holocaust explores primal cruelty with scenes of rape, slayings, beating people to death, actual blood letting and mutilation of animals. By the way if you ever wanted to know what a turtle looks like without it's shell minus a head to boot, you should watch this. I was interested in seeing this, I was not let down. Good film for what it is, compelled me to write this review

That should give you a good idea what to expect :disgust:

I'll recommend watching a japanese movie called "Ichi" - The Killer. Man that movie was sick to the bones. Torturing people was the director's plot and cutting up people into pieces(viewing of bloods spraying out of people's neck and intestints all over) was what most of the action lays. :disgust: in recent memories I can't think of a more disgusted movie.

For me, it's gotta be that scene in "King Pin" when Roy Munson has to sleep with his landlord to pay the rent. :disgust: When Roy milked the bull was pretty bad too.

The scene in Hannibal where Lecter takes off the skull of the Ray Liotta character. bleegh.

And speaking of Ray Liotta, there were many scenes in Good Fellas that were pretty gruesome.

And saw Das Experiment at the North Carolina Nevermore Film Festival in Durham last weekend. What happend to the hero and a knife gave me the willies because I had been stabbed once before.

The beginning of "Saving Private Ryan" - just to much blood and flying body parts.

"Black Hawk Down" - The man they were carrying with only half a body.

Both movies were very bloody and gruesome. Yet very good.
