The scene in Event Horizon stated above is a good one, but in Casino when Joe Pesci gets:

- beat up with a baseball bat
- beat to a bloody pulp with a baseball bat
- beat up some more

... and then the thugs bury him still alive (but unable to move) in a cornfield. Yeesh. *shudder*

Thats what I was going to say. I especially liked the human organs that were still running around attacking people :).

24 is the second best tv show on next the The Shield. Speaking of The Shield ;) it has a nice little scene were Vic beats the hell out of some guy with a book and then holds his face on an electric stove burner. Quite nasty.

24 is an on going drama kinda thing that gets it name because there are 24 episodes and each episode = 1 hour of Jack's day. This season he is trying to stop a terrorist from setting of a nuclear bomb of in LA.

one of mine would have to be saving private ryan when that nazi fvck is stabbing that guy in his chest slowly and that pussy wont do sh!t about it, i couldnt really believe how horrible that was. that whole movie was harsh, and it seemed like it was the first really realistic war movie and i still dont think there has been many war movies that are worse

i saw event horizon when it came out when i was 10, i couldnt sleep for a week.

we were soldiers when the guy pulls that guy who has the burned legs and the sorta shlark right off, ya that was fvcking horrible.

black hawk down,i blocked that seen out (the artary one) <shudders>

any bacon on the screen is scarring <hisses at tv>

ah that curp seen was bad but the guy got it quick, man didnt you just think ed norten was hitler when he did that i mean jeesh.

First time I watched that, was about 5 yrs ago (i was about 14 at the time), late at night, in a dark room, with the volume turned up on the headphones.......trying my best not to laugh too loud, because my parents were in the room next door and I wasn't supposed to be watching TV!

As for most gruesome thing i've seen in a movie, I'd have to say some of the stuff at the beginning of Saving Private Ryan

Pulp Fiction when they "bring in the gimp"

That totally threw me for a loop and for some reason I almost tossed my cookies.

Probably not the worst but the scene in Very Bad Things where they st@b the security guard in the chest and hold the bathroom door so he can't get out. Not that visually gruesome, just the yelling and pounding on the door made it seem worse. Pretty messed up...

I would have to say it is from License to Kill, where they take a dude and put him in a pressure chamber and "explode" him. Ouch. That still makes me shrudder. Sure there are much mroe gruesome scenes in war movies, but none of them have left a mark like this one.

WIMP!!!!

I've seen both. The vid that I have has just under half of the video blacked out with Pearl's head being held up in the air in a vinyette (sp?) scrolling a plea to fight back against the middle eastern extremists. There's both stills and full motion video of the act. It's, quite simply, horrifying. It wasn't some quick clean thing. It was long, drawn out, and looked as though the executioner was having difficulty and had to work at it. :disgust:

Screw off.

Seeing the blood and such wasn't a problem It was knowing what he went there for and that he had a family left at home. That head hanging there was fairly eerie. Maybe you're desensatised to all forms of violence and have 100% detachment from life (or even a craving for death), and that's your choice. But just because you don't give a rat's ass about it doesn't mean you should get off on calling people wimps because they actually havea conscience that tells them something every now and then.

Also Robocop but then the part where this guy gets acid all over his body and while he is litteraly melting and trying to walk this truck rides right into him.... **SPLAT**

Then the driver wipes the guts away from the front window...

Also Robocop2 where they get this guys heart and spinal out of his body while still alive.. to be implanted into one of those robo machines.

yuck

For me it has always been the scene from Seven where he discovers his wife's head in a box. I totally wasn't expecting it. I don't how it would have affected me before I was married but the fact that I was married when I first saw it increased the magnitude of it's effect on me. It still creeps me out!

There were a couple in the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" series, one where a guy's face (skin only) is cut off while he is still alive. Another where a man is hit in the head repeatedly with a claw hammer. With every hit of the hammer the body shudders like it's an electric shock. :disgust:
