mac - AMD and Linux don't have retarded ads (hell, AMD doesn't even have a decent PR dept to promote their own products, let alone bash their competitors' products). FF has great extensions, but i've never heard anyone say they like FF better because it's prettier

Being a recent convert to the Mac community, I would have to say that Mac users are the most fanatical. Linux users are the most hardcore though, don't ever try arguing operating systems with a linux geek :Q

I'd say Linux users are the most fanatical and want to get more "converts" than the Mac crowd. The Mac users think Macs are awesome, but at least they don't try to convince you that it's the best like some linux users.

Using linux for a long time makes you think very highly of your computer skills when they may only be slightly above average. It's nice that you can use a command line, but get over yourself guys! I've been using linux for quite some time but I still prefer MS Excel to Open Office (I use a VM, best of both worlds!)

I must point out that on issues of stability, efficiency, speed, and a lor of other fields, Linux is far superior to Windows. Not a fanboy, just a fact.

All true. You just have to be more savvy to use it to its full potential than windows, and there are fewer programs for it.

Mac is the other side of the spectrum..you don't have to be as savvy to use it as Windows, since everything pretty much works the first time w/o a bunch of configuration, but there are still fewer programs for it.

I think I dislike political fanboys more than most, however, because not only do they never think, they spout out arguments that don't make sense. At least when most fanboys parrot something that they read elsewhere, it's somewhat logical, even if they have no clue how to back it up.

LOL, I can count the number of times XP has crashed on one hand in the last 5+ years on my plethora of rigs. And each of them has been related to a bad driver or faulty component.

God how I hate Linux fanboys :laugh:
