Most expensive mobile phone bill...

What's the most expensive mobile phone bill you've ever gotten? If you use your mobile phone for mostly business, just quote your approximate personal expense amount.

I just got my bill today and it's US $770.36 (including taxes) >.<

/me is stupid and didn't realize she wasn't on the Cingular Nation plan and got charged for HUGE roaming costs. >.<

😱

I still don't understand how people can rack up hundreds of dollars in cell phone bills, and I even talk on the phone a lot (or so it seems).

My highest has been $54 or so when I had my own, and it's just over $100 now on a family plan with two other phones.

I make sure to keep under my alotted minutes. Knowing that I'm going to pay $24/hour to talk during overage is enough to keep me off the phone even when I'm smashed.

It's simply a matter of responsibility. If you think you ever might go over your minutes, upgrade the plan. Call that extra $10/mo insurance against being a dumbass.

That is about the time I call and cancel, then stop paying the bill....

$40. I know how many minutes I get, I know what kind of plan I have.

That's a wise decision. You should give people advice.

I talk a lot, but I always have rollover minutes at the beginning of the month. I'm on a 1250 minutes plan and I always end up with an average of at least 200 minutes rollover. I got burned at the beginning of this month with the roaming charge (which ended up being around US $0.79 a minute) when I was on-holiday in NYC.

Moral: Check how much roaming charges are and double-check your plan before assuming that roaming charges is free.

It was under $200.

For work, it was $600+, but that was due to the fact that the Cingular rep didn't tell me the change I made to my service plan was pro-rated.

1500.00

I got the wife a cell phone from quest.
It actually ended up being 2100 after I canceled the plan
as the charged for early termination but this was 4 or so years ago.

Pity me I just got her a cell phone for christmas

our roming charge is .69 cents a minute

First of all, I would like to say fvck AT&T on behalf of my brother.

They charge him 120+ per month with 600 minutes and LD and nights and weekends on ONE PHONE.

They keep sending his bill to the wrong place even when he told them numerous times.
They charge him late fees because they sent the bill to the wrong place and he never received them in
turn causing it to be late.

Did I mention his plan is supposed to be 39.95 plus tax !?

Fvck them.

My last month's bill was about 14,000 Indian Rupees (~$320) because i was calling my cousin in the states every day for a few hours. for 60 hours of overseas calls from a mobile phone, 320 isn't all that much....

About $80. On the same not, I also got a bill that was -$120 once, apparently they activated 2 phones on my account and then credited the activeation back 4 or 5 times - funny part is i didnt get 2 extra phones. Called them and they siad there was nothing they can do. I didnt have to pay my bill for ~4 months 🙂
