This is the list of the top 50 most expensive loan consolidations Google adwords as of September 11, 2006 (GMT+1) (according to wget, grep, sed & friends).

I found it rather amazing that the keywords loan consolidation for college, school, car etc. are much more expensive than, say... even private yachts, jets, luxury homes and so on!

Prices are shown in estimated average CPC (costs per click). Yes, just one tiny click from someone searching for these keywords is worth almost $70 to someone, apparently.

edit: nvm, i guess there are a lot of schools at the bottom of the list. I misread 'art institute' to mean museum
 
I found something very amusing concerning loans. The student loan information packets and PDF files available here on campus go into detail saying how a $3 coffee 5 days a week can be quite expensive with loan interest factored in.

The funny part: There are multiple locations on campus where coffee can be purchased, for as much as $4.19 a cup, and at least 3 of these locations are run by the college.

Hmm... I was targeting some lawyer ads when I made a few posts on my blog a while back of some experiences... and back then they were the top paying clicks. Apparently, I got a $50 ad clicked about three times in the span of a week, so I was happy.

I'm still finding that on some ads, I'm getting $3.00 a click on some ads, which is pretty good.
 
Remember, for many, these aren't bad deals at all... if they have a high CPC, which is more common in the financial areas, then it's easy to reach $50 per click.
