Most disturbing creature in a game

Id have to say the end boss in halflife that looked like a spider but a had a big nut sack or so thats what it looked like 🙂 that was just wrong and it was the only thing you could shoot to hurt it.

All the enemies in the original Quake were pretty badass. The first time I encountered a Vore in that game w/ the lights off it scared the bejeezus outta me! Oh and how about them Hell Knights and Shamblers?

Oh gawd...the first time I played Resident Evil with a friend on the PSX we stayed up til about 5AM. That game was genuinely SCARY the first time you play it.

I take my fist post back. I forgot all about system shock 2 and the hybrids, those things only let you know they were coming by mumbling creeping things and screaming.

Not so much the monster, but early in Unreal, when your path down a hall way gets blocked so you turn back and that's blocked too. Then you look down the hallway and the lights start going off in the distance and slowly progress toward you. Now your in the dark and you hear a door open and the growl of something and the growling is getting closer. Man that was a great game moment.

Half-Life had some wicked looking creatures. I was up two days trying to finish that game (and looking pretty slovenly when it was over). I agree about the last boss, it was scary looking. Or those things on the ceiling with the long tentacle hanging down. And when you shot it, it would puke its guts out.

Pyro the Maniak -- a creature so fearsome, few men have ever dared face him. Often found in CS servers and usually kills enemies by instilling great fear into them.

next time you see him at Neo's RUN, RUN before he even has the chance to smell you!
