Most decrepit system you still use regularly?

I still have an Athlon64 3700+ with a 7800 GS AGP in the living room I still use for WoW. It has just a 1280x1024 monitor, so its not too stressed at the "Good" quality settings I use. Generally stays above 30 FPS and is usually in the 40-60 range when not in a city. Its not my main PC of course, but sometimes when I'm halfway watching a TV program I'll do mundane stuff in WoW like solo questing or gathering.

my laptop has a dual core turion 1.6ghz and 2gb of ram, I did throw an older OCZ Solid SSD but that thing is a little sluggish. No point in going back to the old HDD though it was only 60gb. Its fast enough for websurfing on the couch.

I still use my laptop core duo 1.83ghz 2gb x1600 mobile 256mb i use for playing older games/surfing the web good laptop still had it for about 4 years.

The oldest system I have that is still in use is my netbook that I purchased when Atom netbooks first came out. It is serving as a temporary HTPC.

I have a single-core AMD laptop, with a TF-20 in it (1.6Ghz A64). I use it for streaming radio and web browsing.

I also just recently decommissioned a P4 2.4Ghz rig, that I had been using for web browsing at my friend's house.

Just got rid of an HP 2315us (Sempron 3000+) laptop that I had bought new for the wife it just was sssssooooo...ssssslllllooooowwwww...

Slowest now is her Dual core Celeron laptop (T3100) but does what she needs...

Asus G52 in my sig. It's decrepit because I just recently put it back together, it has no screen and only 2 x 1 GB of DDR2-667, not the 2 x 2 GB of DDR2-800 it originally came with. Of course, having no screen means having to use an outboard monitor (broke the monitor mid-2009), but it's still a good piece of hardware. I just need to buy some more RAM for it, and do a better job with reinstalling the cooling system. Keep it in the living room, play lots of TF2 on it.

Old sempron in DFI Lanparty nf3-250. Ridiculous yellow Neon plastic on it and everything. That was when DFI was actually good, and made the best Athlon 64 board of the era. It has memtest x86 built into the bios.

Single core Turion 64 laptop. Really should be looking at something more modern, but want to build a HTPC first.

Dell Latitude D820 laptop from work. It's alright for some work tasks, but as soon as I do any sort of XML work, the laptop will lock up and often times Firefox crashes. The 2GB of RAM doesn't really help matters much.

Next oldest is a Q6600 build from Summer of 2008, which is still rocking as my parents' desktop.

Via Epia E6000 with 512mn ram, 8gb CF card and a hacked up PSU. It sits in my basement on 24/7 as my smoothwall router.

Second would be an Intel D210GLY2 (I bought off a member here) with 512mb ram, 80gb drive and pico PSU. Also on 24/7 as a baby monitor/tv show recorder.

I had a 6 year old PowerBook G4 that I was using before i replaced it with my MacBook Air

My laptop is a P3 1.13, w/ 256MB RAM. It still does what I need it to, if barely. If more larger form factor Brazos laptops come out, the temptation may get to me; else I'll pick up something like a T61, one of these days. I'm pretty much at the, "break, damn you," stage, but that IBM logo sadistically cackles at such foolish ideas.

I have a 1.7gig Celeron among my 5 computers.

I can't really tell the difference between that and my PRIMO one.

Life is good.

My garage PC has a 3800+ with 512K, 80G hard drive, nVidia Ti4200 and a DVD-ROM drive in a really crappy case. The sound system is that "classic" Dell "Champagne" speaker system. Monitor is an old 32" Trinitron. It's exclusively used for listening to music or watching movies while I'm working out there, no wireless, no keyboard.

Earliest E6300 @ 2.8GHz undervolted...Still going strong after 5 years.

Far from decrepit though even by 2011 standards.

My "beater" is a P4 Prescott 540. Still alive and kicking running Ubuntu Linux 10.10

My Dad still uses a 486DX 25. He has a C2D 6420 but still uses the 486 for word processing and for some old dos based engineering software.

1.7GHz Celeron in a Compaq Laptop. Probably my most used machine as it sits under the couch and is brought out from time to time when I think, hey, I could use X... lemme check amazon.

Celeron 300 (not the A version) with 64MB which runs m0n0wall. The next slowest is my Aspire One netbook. It's okay for web browsing but you have to be patient for anything using flash.

PIII 550mhz with a 20GB Quantum Fireball HDD that somehow still works. 512MB ram and a MX400 for Quake III Arena (ah the memories). Still running 98SE that BSODs about twice a day. The card history thread on the graphics cards board made me drag it out of closet purgatory and mess around with it again. Jeez...

edit Oops, I forgot the title said use regularly. I think I might now... 😛
