Gonna get 1700 as Cpu and arctic Liquid cooler 240 mm cooler. The case I will get is probably corsair obsidian 750d airflow edition and a lot of fans.

The things I want to see in board are,

- should be overclockable brilliantly, I would like to oc bclck if possible

- should have good vrm's with great capabilities

- should support next ryzen generations without hesitation

- should let me control fans via bios

Thanks.

If you have the money get an AsRock Taichi board.

If not settle for an AsRock Fatality or Killer.

Gigabyte (I've always bought Gigabyte in the past) seems to have issues with memory QVL's and bios updates this time around on their boards going by what folks at overclockers.com said. After that I did research on what was the best board they all liked and it was the AsRock Taichi.

crosshair. bclk. gigabyte k7 . bclk asrock taichi and fatality pro , bclk
asrock's vrm is considered the best with those two. noone else is as good but the other two are also very solid. far from average. Would like to see better heatsink on gigabyte vrm .. personal preference. crosshair ahead of the other two with it's bclk. did have more ram success but that's not the case anymore. getting faster ram speeds with latest agesa on just about all vendors products.

Like Inus said, any of the Asrock X370 will serve you well. If you have the money either Fatal1ty or Taichi.
