most companies want go-getters right?

[Dear Summer]

I started not too long ago, and for the first week, I read materials and went through orientation. After all of that, I have not been given much to do. So I told my boss to let me know if she needs help with anything (somewhat in a pushy way). She is a busy person and I feel like I'm being bothersome when I do this.

Some mentioned that asking for more work is usually bad because they pile your shit on with stuff no one wants to do and you don't get recognition for it.

She probably thinks you're looking to go get her job.

Maybe she wants you to be a go-getter...as in go get me some coffee...or go get another job.
