I'm looking for the most comfortable pair of headphones I can find. My current pair makes my ears start hurting after 1/2 hour or so. They need to sound decent, but I'm more concerned w/ wearability. Any recommendations?

I just love my Sony MDR-V6 headphones. I did replace the stock pleather earpads with some velour ones from Beyer Dynamic, though. Oh so comfy!

I'm quite happy with my Grado SR-80's.

Had a pair of Senns that were alright, but made my ears extremely warm after a little while.

I've had a set of Panasonic RP-HT1000s for about two years now and they're by far the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn. Nice big cups that cover my whole ear and a self-adjusting headband that adjusts everytime you put them on or move them around on your head. I've worn them for 6 or 7 hours at a time and they're still as comfortable after that as the first 10 minutes I had them on. I don't know how they sound compare to things like Grado or Sennheiser, but they do sound really good, in my opinion.

I got mine for about $50.

I have a pair of Senn 280's that are very large and fit over my ears fine.

back when i was shopping for headphones, i heard that the sennheisers were the most comfortable...

i've had the sennheiser 580s for almost a year now and i'm not complaining. sometimes i don't even notice that i'm wearing them!
