It sucks. I've lived in IL, IA, and NE. All equally boring. But it's cheap to live here and the people are very friendly. Good place to live. Bad place to visit

Don't know about city and state, but imho, the most boring highway was I-90 through Indiana. Some stupid state law they had about no billboards on the highway, the only signs you have are just before each exit (it's a toll road), describing what services you had available. Not which ones as far as brand name, just GAS/FOOD/LODGING type of signs.

I drove that back in 82, heading out to the left coast, and was never so happy to get out of a state! My gawd, that's boring when you're driving by yourself!!! :shocked:

I can't imagine living in any of those places. I'd have to be pulling down 6 figures to even consider it.

wonderful little place that doesn't even have a four-way stop. does have one bar though. the woodland inn. too bad it closes at 10. great food though.

its about 15-20 miles south of south bend, just north of bremen.

I'm curious why so many people in this thread associate small towns or open spaces with "boring" ? I don't find such places boring at all.

To me what is boring is something that is fake or pointless, devoid of meaning.

Actually, I don't find those statements particularly boring anyway. Or no more boring than talking about the stuff big city dwellers talk about. Home improvement, sports, how drunk they got last weekend, where to go for lunch, is it 5 o'clock yet ?
