Anyone here have experience with these location and which location has the best scenery. I'm looking for the most beautiful water, surroundings, and not so much concerned about the price. I'm not interested in any Caribbean locations, or otherwise. Only the South Pacific and Indian Ocean islands.

I've spent the past years vacationing to glaciers, mountain peaks, and ice fields, so I'm looking for the complete opposite. Thanks

I can't really answer your question but where have you been in the world? What is the most beautiful place you've been?

I visited the Seychelles a few years ago. The beaches were great and the night life was okay but the locals were always stoned. And they made it known they could "get a little smoke, mon."

Seychelles was awesome, but Uepi in the Solomon Islands, and another resort there, Tavanipupu (sp?), are by far the best resorts i've ever visited

EDIT: you're looking at serious money just to get there tho, these days ;)

I can vouch for the Solomon Island locations. A good friend of mine went there (Uepi seems familiar) on her honeymoon, and the pictures they took are just beautiful. I can't imagine how breathtaking it would be in person.

Maldives & Mauritius are nice, although these places might have been affected by the 2004 tsunami. If you want a cheaper version, you can go to Thailand (phuket and a few other places have nice beaches and many small islands nearby).

I've been Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and I really don't feel like listing the other dozen or so. However, besides Florida and the Caribbean I haven't really visited many tropical locations. I'm more of a mountain person, but I like a change once and I while.

Here a few of my favorite locations. These are all pics I've taken:

Eh, Imageshack stopped working, but I can try to upload more later.

You're missing out on a lot by dismissing Caribbean locations. :(

Try Saba Rock, Tortola, BVI. :)

is that a negative?

The locals being stoned or the Marley brothers and the "smoke, mon?" :p I was in the military at the time I visited so I had to take a pass on the smoke. ;)
