Mortal Online 14d Free Trial

Anyone play since the final open beta? I'm still laughing at all the suckers who paid $88.00 to have the pleasure of joining that beta. The message boards for this game were so insane about game expectations and how the pre-order for beta access was a fair price.
I did really want this game to work though....
 
God I remember playing that during the beta. Boring beyond belief. Mostly because I wandered around and ended up getting stuck in the lower half of the map. Found the only exit, a ladder, which conveniently liked to disappear 3/4 of the way to the top dropping you to the ground and killing you. I either made a new character or finally found a way out. With freaking rabbits able to kill me it simply wasn't worth the effort.


I just flipped through the forum. They spent 10 months on a networking solution? Also does not seem to really have improved much. Most of the people there were saying a free trial isn't a good idea when there's so little to do. Makes me wonder why they still play it.
 
same deal here, made one character and I couldn't find any people to interact with or stuff to kill and I really couldn't find anything execept a wall I couldn't climb so I made another guy in a populated village was ganked, then later killed by a bunny.
 
Well my 20mb/s internet is still downloading this. It's been 12 hours and Im only about 50% done. Not looking good so far, and the graphics are starting to look outdated.

Still gonna give it a try.
