Mortal Kombat vs. Streetfighter

all the ones for SNES are a tie, but after those systems I don't like any of them

I prefer SF for the longer matches and before the combo system came into play

Down Forward punch: Fireball vs. Down Forward Punch: Freeze

Well I certainly enjoyed fireballs and shoryukens... hahaha I vote Street Fighter because I killed my thumb playing that game.

Street Fighter II was fun.. especially the super/turbo/championship/super-awesome/special yoyo editions..

But, I liked Mortal Kombat's fatalities.. You blow 2 quarters to beat up the computer and have a 1 in 5 chance of successfully executing a fatality.. awesome!

I *just* broke out the SNES and Genesis yesterday to beat SFIITurbo and SSFII with E.Honda... ahh the good ol days 🙂

Street Fighter FTW

NOt sure which street fighter and which mortal kombat but based on enter franchises, Street Fighter by far

MK FTW...I spent most of my lunch money of MK from year 8 to about year 10 in HS....even now I still play it occasionally using MAME arcade emulator

I bet I played more Mortal Kombat than some World of Warcraft addicts play WoW.

Mortal Kombat, because it never left me with enough time to dabble with Street Fighter.

Streetfighter by a country mile. I never got into MK. I didn't like the feel... it didn't feel crisp and clean like SF did. You didn't feel the hits.

MK is my favorite by a long shot. I played MK 1 for 2 yrs straight every day and MK II owned my soul (best MK ever!) The babalities and friendships were a little overboard... but still fun nonetheless. MKII started getting too advanced on the combos, but Kabal was awesome. MK4 is where the fun ended for me in 3d land. I really miss doing the Johnny Cage uppercut on my opponents feet when they're jumping in at me...lol.

SFII Turbo was really the only one I enjoyed out of all of the SF games.

I know this doesn't really fall into the same league, but another one of my favorite fighting games that was revolutionary imo was Killer Instict.

Killer Instinct was fun. I also had Virtua Fighter on my PC back in 97 (200Mhz), and I played it with my keyboard. I actually really, really enjoyed it. Felt very tactical.
