morrowind quits to desktop when loading

yah.. i had that problem, morrowind kicked me out to windows on random occasions.. usually when loading interior/exterior >_<

i'm running it on Tbird 1.4, 256 DDR and GF2.

i don't use plugins and its already patched

anyone know why? THANKS

You can generally associate random drops to the Desktop with AMD CPU's
to a unpowered system.

Its caused by not enough voltage being supplied to the CPU under
moderate to heavy use.

Unfortunately there are *many* reasons why Morrowind might crash. If you do a search on the official forums you'll find a ton of possible solutions you might try.

IFor me personally the CTDs were all due to bad RAM...I replaced the faulty stick and never had a problem after that. So I would recommend testing your RAM. Also, I know of at least one person who had success by manually setting his virtual memory instead of leaving it in the control of Windows, so maybe fiddling with that setting could help.
