Morrowind is still amazing

I reinstalled MW a couple of weeks ago and started playing again and I can't stop. There are just SO many areas and quests to explore. So far I'm up to level 18 playing a Redguard fighter. My goal is to try and explore EVERY dungeon and cave in the game, its gonna take awhile but it should keep me occupied until the next Elderscroll game hits the shelves.

Anyone know of a good mod for boosting the currency of shopkeepers?

I should give it a shot, I heard it was really good but never played it.

I'm still too busy playing warcraft 3 though, which is also still amazing.

It's been a very, very long time since I plasyed it - but I thoug t the point of the currency and purchasing was based on you charisma/bartering skill.

Or you could just kill them and steal everything out of the shop, or use levitate whilst the shop door is open, or grab everything a run like a little fairy.

Oh, no......I think I'm going to have to reinstall it again - I loved 'cos there were soo many ways of completing quests

Good game, had a lot of short comings though. Mainly, the AI was weak. And the combat system was very uninvolved and uninteresting.

However, great big game world with lots of cool items and locations.

I'm pretty excited about oblivion.

The GameFaqs.com faqs list the gremlin in one town who buys junk at full retail.

There's also a shop in one town with an endless supply of common soul gems, go hunting for cash.

The Tribunal expansion has an enchanter with endless gems and a lot of cash, and a blacksmith with good weapons and a lot of cash. You can complete the first few quests to stop the assassination attempts then stop for awhile.

It is a great game, that I loved playing when I had it installed. I played it for months before moving on to something else. But when I tried to go back to it, there was just too much "stuff" to do, that I felt overwhelmed. There are are just so many places, mods, options, etc.

I played it a couple years ago and stopped after I essentially "broke" the game. I played a mage and made a custom spell that could kill the guards in 2 hits. I then proceeded to farm all the guards (even the ones in the main city) and ended up with infinite money and high level armor. I was also hostile with the guard faction (naturally) making it hard to do anything. Was fun while it lasted, maybe I'll revisit some other time

For those that don't play morrowind, you can make your own spells by adjusting sliders for damage, effects, range, etc and its balanced out by mana cost and monetary cost to buy the spell, so when I said custom spell I'm not hacking the game or anything

When I say boosting the currency I just mean the amount of gold they have. I have a nice collection of really expensive items that none of the shopkeepers can afford 😉

heh heh, I did something similar. I went crazy with the potions. I made a few that increased my strength by a few thousand points that lasted a long time. I was able to kill Dremora Lords in one hit with a flimsy dagger.

This time I'm trying to play thru the game without tweaking the character too much

One thing that I didn't like about it was that it was so easy to become too powerful. My guy was so damn powerful about halfway through the game, nothing was a match for me. I could slaughter entire towns in nothing flat.
